Doing my human design with Amanda was like receiving the instruction manual I never knew I had. It helped me understand myself on a much deeper level, and the whole session was incredibly eye-opening and enjoyable. Thank you so much!

I'm naturally skeptical of systems that try to explain personality through birth data, so I approached Human Design with interest, but also a healthy dose of caution.

What surprised me — and what I found most valuable in Amanda's work — is how much it helped me understand myself better and, perhaps even more importantly, understand other people better, on their own terms. The way I would like them to look at me: with an open mind and a willingness to see who I actually am, rather than who they wish I were.

Her insights gave me a new way of looking at important relationships in my life. Instead of judging differences, I found myself becoming more curious about where another person might be coming from and what values or intentions might sit behind behaviours I didn't immediately understand. More than once, it helped me pause and think: "Before I conclude this person is selfish or uncaring, maybe they simply operate differently from me."

That shift alone was incredibly valuable.

The process also helped me accept parts of myself that I had spent years trying to change. One observation that stays with me through sunshine and rain is that movement is not a distraction for me — it is a necessity. That idea was surprisingly liberating. Instead of constantly trying to rein myself in, I've learned to make sure I get enough movement because it helps me be a more grounded, balanced version of myself. As a fun footnote, that insight came before my later diagnosis of ADHD — and yes, that H stands for hyperactivity.

Whether you are looking for self-understanding or clarity in a relationship, I found the experience thoughtful, illuminating, warm, and surprisingly useful.

If I had to capture the benefit in four points:

  • 1 It helped me suspend judgment and ask better questions.
  • 2 It gave me a more generous interpretation of behaviours I didn't understand.
  • 3 It helped me accept aspects of myself and others instead of trying to fix them.
  • 4 It encouraged curiosity rather than blame.
